Why I am not Religious-Religion Vs Spirituality

People feel their religion as right, and others as wrong and this causes conflict. But truthfully, all religions are based on the same thing if you look at their roots.

Religion is all about; “do what I say without asking.” “If you don’t believe it you’re going to hell.”

Religion is going through a middle man.

You’re not experiencing it for yourself.

But we all have different paths to enlightenment.

Reading the Bible isn’t a Free Pass to Heaven

We should not be following the Bible word for word. It is just a foundation for spirituality.

Same goes for every other religion out there.

It was just one guy’s experience. It was one guy who reached enlightenment or salvation; or whatever you want to call it.

It is better to follow a religion than not follow one. But don’t take the one you follow so seriously and so literally. Just learn the important parts and apply them to your life.
Don’t view your religion as right and others as wrong.

They are all teaching the same things. There is not one set path to how you reach your highest self.

Spirituality is all about learning and finding your own path. You shouldn’t read a book and follow someone else’s path. Everyone has their own path to enlightenment.

If you follow the Bible, just reading it and understanding it doesn’t give you a free pass to “heaven.”

You are supposed to look at how Jesus lived and then live a life similar to his. But don’t follow his path. Learn the important lessons and imply them to your life.

-Love Everyone

-Practice Selfless Service

            -act without expecting return

-do it because it is the right thing to do (helping an old lady across the street.)

Jesus Was Not the Son of God

Jesus claimed him and God were one. He did not necessarily mean he was the Son of God. I believe he meant he shared a strong conscious connection with God. And anyone that reaches this level of consciousness will also be one with God.

His name wasn’t Jesus Christ. He was Jesus of Christ; meaning he was Christ Conscious.

He reached enlightenment and was sharing his experience and teaching how to become one with God (reach Christ Consciousness).

Christ Consciousness is the frequency that “God” and the universe operate on.
The goal in life is to reach Christ Consciousness.

This is done by learning how to be the best version of yourself and working everyday to reach your full spiritual potential.

It isn’t done by reading the Bible and going to church and you’re all set.

How to Reach Your Full Spiritual Potential

You are a spiritual being having a human experience.

The goal in life is to kill the ego. We are living this life as human beings and as a result we have animal pleasures and desires.

Our goal is to fight all of those animalistic pleasures and desires and destroy the ego. The purpose of this lifetime was to learn about awareness and consciousness and become aware of the “I”

This isn’t necessarily possible for most in the spiritual world because there, you just exist and just are. You are not really separate from anyone or anything because you are everything. Everything is connected.

In this life as a human being you get to feel what it is like to be a separate entity and have an “I”. It can be very scary and uncomfortable for most. The goal is to come together and be one. Love everyone and everything. Accept everyone and everything. Use meditation to kill your ego. Grow as a spirit. Experience everything.

Stop indulging in physical pleasures and start doing the things that will make you the best version of yourself.

-Exercise

-Meditation

-Reading

-Eating Healthy

-Spreading Love and Happiness

-Drink more water

-Help Others

-Follow Your Dreams

-Be Grateful

-Be Positive

Christ Has Already Returned

“Contrary to the predictions of the return of Jesus, no such event will take place. As with so many things in Christianity, the events and concepts apply to changes in awareness and consciousness, not physical events. Just as salvation is not as it is portrayed in the literal sense, but is a transformation in spiritual consciousness, so too is the Second Coming a transformation in a person’s spiritual consciousness and connection to God, not an outer physical event.”

I believe Christ has already returned. Read why here (link)

I Went Two Weeks Without Bringing My Cellphone Anywhere

I am essential so I still work 5 days a week. My job consists of sitting around for 3 hours and working for 20 minutes. Everyone just sits down and mindlessly scrolls on their phone or watches videos or play games.
I decided I wanted to be productive with that time. So now I bring a book to work everyday. Because of this, I have been reading 1-2 books everyday for two weeks straight.
Reading, instead of mindlessly gazing at my phone, has provided me with many benefits. My work ethic and motivation are way higher. I enjoy life way more because I am always present and live in the moment. And I have learned so much.

These are just some of the books I finished in the past two weeks alone.

I also walk my dog at least 5 times a day. I used to just bring him to the dog park and then go sit on the bench and sit on my phone. But now that my phone is at home I live in the moment. I play with my dog and I enjoy nature and I socialize and I notice things I have never noticed before.
I have been free of stress and so much happier.

Driving without a phone is also much safer. Although I do miss playing music, I now can drive in silence and use that time to meditate and gather all my thoughts and clear my mind.

I suggest everyone tries a digital detox. Try going 24 hours without your phone. Or try to keep your screen time under 2 hours every single day and see how much happier you are.

It’s crazy because with cellphones we have the ability to be so connected but yet it makes us so disconnected.

You are never truly present when you are on your phone. You are talking with your friends that are not with you, and ignoring the friends and family that are with you. And vice versa.

I didn’t go two weeks without my phone completely. Mostly because of school work and working on my blog and reading articles and watching YouTube videos.

But just by not bringing it out in public it changed my life drastically and I plan on keeping it up.

-Stretching/Yoga is an amazing exercise for you to do whilst in quarantine

You can easily do some simple at home workouts such as push-ups, sit-ups, squats, planks, etc.

Exercise Benefits:

  • Weight loss
  • Feel better
  • More energy

8) Journal/Write down things you are grateful for

-Journaling is something I got in to recently and it is honestly so beneficial. It is so much easier to manifest things when you write them down.

            -Write down all your passions.

-Write down things that make you happy.

-Plan out your day and your life.

-At the end of the day you should write down all the things you are grateful for.

9) Refrain from Drinking Alcohol

-There are so many negative effects of alcohol; I’m not even going to bother listing them all because it’s pretty obvious.

-I think one of the worst ones is it promotes bad behavior and bad eating habits. You give no fucks when you’re drunk and this has very negative long term effects on you.

-You wake up the next day feeling like shit. So now you’ve wasted two days instead of one. You created a habit of bad behaviors and you’re unhappy so to escape the unhappiness you get drunk again and blame your faults on the alcohol.

10) Spend Less time on Social Media

-Social media is very toxic unless you use it in the right way which most people do not.

Social media is full of fake people living fake lives. It is terrible for your self-esteem. Stop scrolling and comparing your life to others.

Instead, go do something more useful with your time rather than scrolling mindlessly and feeling bad about your life.

11) Stop watching the News

-The news is full of negativity and is used to indict fear. Once they make you fearful they lower your vibration and control you. You will never get anything useful from the news. Most of it is bullshit.

-If you just focus on yourself and work on improving your life, none of that shit in the news matters. Worry about your own life and your own happiness.
