How to save a shit ton of money

Would you drive your dog somewhere just to have someone else feed them for 10x the price just because you were too lazy to dump the food in to the bowl yourself?

And the food you pay 10x the price for is way unhealthier than the food at home.

If not then why do people choose to do this for themselves?

The Purpose of Food

Food is just something our body needs for energy. Our body performs functions to keep us alive. It burns energy in doing so. So we need to eat some food to fuel it.

That is all food is for us.

The healthier the food the better our body runs.

Our body needs certain nutrients to run well. Each part of our body serves a different function. They all need certain nutrients to function well.

But people choose to eat fake processed food and pay 10x more for it just because they’re too lazy to make it themselves. And because it “tastes good.”

You do not get the proper nutrients from this food. This food is full of fat, sugar and salt. This is why it “tastes so good.”

But your body cannot use all the fat, sugar and salt. So it causes your body to malfunction. You gain weight and don’t have enough energy to do the things you want to.

It Just Doesn’t Make Sense

You pay 10x the price for the food and all it does it make your life worse. It makes you unhealthier and worse looking. It doesn’t even give you any energy.

You do all of this just because you were to lazy to turn the stove on and heat up some food yourself.

You do all of this just to satisfy your taste buds for a couple minutes.

It just doesn’t make sense to me.

You can save hundreds of dollars a week if you just ate at home.

You can be super healthy and have so much energy and just look so much better.

(This one hotdog probably cost a couple dollars. Could make it at home for like $0.10)

I Was The Same Way

I’m not hating though. I was in the same exact boat.

I started working very young and always had a bunch of money laying around. I would waste soooo much money on food. I was always buying fast food. Always buying snacks from the gas station. I could’ve saved thousands of dollars if I just ate food at home.

Seriously tho. You can save a ridiculous amount of money by cooking your own meals.

Food is just our energy source. There’s no point of being unhealthy and living an unproductive life just so you can satisfy your taste buds for a couple minutes.

(Apple that will give you energy and make you feel good for a couple cents vs a bag of Cheetos that will make you gain weight and cost a couple dollars just so you can satisfy your taste buds for a couple seconds)

How Much Money You Will Save

I spend about $1 per meal. I spend maybe $5 a day.

Eating at restaurants and fast food places and buying snacks at gas stations and stores is incredibly expensive.

Just buying an energy drink and a candy bar costs more than what I spend in a day eating 3 full meals and multiple snacks.

You could save about $1,000 a month if you started cooking at home. I think everyone could use an extra $1,000 per month.

You will save the most money if you follow a plant-based diet.

Meaning you will buy mostly pasta, oats, beans, bread, potatoes, tortillas, fruits and veggies.

Conclusion

Would you rather stay at home and save $1,000 a month to be happy and healthy; Possibly lose weight and have a bunch of energy?

Or

Would you rather drive somewhere and spend 10x the amount of money to buy food that makes you unhealthier and gain weight and have less energy and just be a less productive person overall?

The choice is yours.

I know a lot of people claim to not have the time or people say they don’t know how to cook.

But it is honestly very easy. All it takes it a couple minutes to make a tasty, cheap and healthy meal.

This is such an easy way to save a shit ton of money, and be healthier and happier.

You can make meals like this in 10 minutes or less and it will only cost you $1-$2. These meals are way healthier and will leaving you feeling so much better.

OR

You can drive somewhere to pay $10 for a unhealthy meal like this. Pay 10x more just to gain weight and feel shitty.

The choice is yours. I will start posting a bunch of easy recipes for those who are willing to make a change.

I believe in you. Cooking is a lot easier than it seems. I just want to help you save money and be healthier. I wish I would’ve known this information like 10 years ago.

Just start with one meal a day.

Best of luck to you.

Best Argument for Veganism

I think there is enough information out there proving a vegan diet is healthier than the standard American diet; if it is done right.

The Scenario

There are 2 burgers. They taste and look almost exactly the same.

The 1st burger has a high chance of causing heart disease and cancer. It requires a living thing to be murdered; and it is terrible for the planet because it takes 2,000 gallons of water and 2 acres of land to produce.

The 2nd burger is a lot healthier. It is made of plants. No one is harmed.

Which one would you choose?

The Main Argument Against This

“Yeah but these foods aren’t accessible and they aren’t as good and they are more expensive.”

**My Answer:

The reason there is a lack of vegan products is because the demand is low.

If more people go vegan there will be way more products and way more restaurants and businesses selling these products.

The food will only get cheaper, healthier, better tasting and more accessible.

All you have to do is cut your meat consumption in half or go fully vegan and more and more products will be available.

It truly is that simple.

Businesses follow the money. There would be way more vegan restaurants today; but there isn’t a high demand and not much money so people are skeptical.

But once the demand goes up I can guarantee these businesses will take off.

(Side note: vegan food is the cheapest food out there if done right; but I’m talking about meat alternatives here)

The Impossible Whopper Is Not Healthier!

I agree; it is not healthy, neither is the original Whopper.

But as demand goes up the more advanced and healthier the meat alternatives will get.

But I Don’t Like Vegan Food, I Like Meat!

If it is all about taste I can guarantee the higher the demand gets, the better the taste.

**Think about it. You could eat all the food you love; but it will be healthy and won’t cost an animal it’s life, and is way better for the planet**

There are some very creative people out there. They will find a way to create a healthy alternative to any food out there.

Why would you not want to choose the 2nd burger?

Summary:

The first step to there being more vegan products that are easily accessible, cheap and tasty is to go vegan or just cut down your meat consumption.

Once enough of the world goes vegan the demand will be high and all businesses will focus on creating the best and cheapest vegan foods.

**Not only will everyone be healthier and happier. The immoral slaughter of animals will come to and end and MOST IMPORTANTLY we will prevent further pandemics and viruses caused by the consumption of animal!

Cheap, Quick and Healthy Lunch Idea

This is what I had for lunch today.

It is a very quick and tasty meal.

Pasta and Broccoli with a side of fruit

Meal Stats:

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Price: About $1

Very easy and basic

Tastes great and is very healthy

10/10 recommend

How to Make It:

Fill a pot with water and bring it to boiling. Once it is boiling add the pasta.

As the pasta is cooking grab a pan. Cut up some broccoli to put in the pan. Add a little bit of oil and cook on medium heat.

Once the pasta is done strain the water. Then add the broccoli on top.

Add sauce of choice.

I personally don’t like sauce so I use oil, salt, garlic powder and pepper as my flavoring.

Optional: A nice side of fruit. I was feeling cantaloupe and pineapple today.

That is all it takes. People claim to have not time; but really it is pure laziness.

If you want to save money and be healthier, then start making meals like this one. You won’t regret it.

My View On Supplements-Do I Take Them?

As you all probably know I follow a plant-based whole foods diet.

When I first started it I had so much energy and felt so amazing. But I didn’t know a lot about diet and I was mostly just eating the same foods every day.

I didn’t know about all of the wonderful plant-based food out there that is full of nutrients.

After a couple months I started losing some of that energy and was very tired at times.

I decided to download Cronometer to check if I was getting the proper nutrition I needed.

It turned out I was lacking things such as B12, Selenium, Iron, Zinc and Omega-3s.

I simply just wasn’t eating enough of the food with these nutrients because I never really looked in to a balanced diet.

I just focused on macronutrients and calories and that was it.

So I started doing some research and implemented foods high in those nutrients in to my diet.

My energy levels were back and I felt even better then when I started the diet.

But nowadays I am super busy with school, work, my blog, writing my books, taking care of my dog and so on.

So now I don’t eat that much food so it is hard to get a balanced and nutritious diet.

So now I take Complement supplements.

Complement is a very good brand and their supplements are full of all the nutrients that the majority of the population lacks in their diet.

It is a very clean supplement and I honestly see amazing results when I use it.

Now, supplements are not needed to have a healthy diet. Especially a plant-based diet.

I only take them when I don’t have enough time to eat 3 meals a day.

Nowadays I only eat 1, maybe 2 meals a day so I take a supplement to get those nutrients I am lacking.

If you don’t want to take supplements and you want to follow a plant-based diet, that is very possible.

The 5 most common nutrient deficiencies on a plant-based diet are zinc, iron, B12, omega-3s and Vitamin D.

Good sources of Zinc are beans, legumes and grains

.

Good sources of Iron are green vegetables, grains, lentils, dried fruit, seeds and nuts

Good sources of Vitamin D are the sun lol. But to better absorb this vitamin make sure you have enough calcium in your diet

.

Good sources of Omega 3s are chia seeds, flax seeds, walnuts and hemp-seeds. I just add chia to my oatmeal and smoothies.

B12 is the tricky one. B12 is harder to get because it used to come from the dirt of vegetables and it used to be in the water. But now with pesticides and fertilizers and fluoride and chlorine in out water it is harder to get.

Just about everyone should supplement B12. It is possible to get it from nutritional yeast and some types of fortified milk; but you are better off just taking a supplement.

This is one successful argument for non-vegans but what a lot of people don’t know is cows are supplemented with B12, and animals don’t produce B12. It is found in bacteria and in manure, and sense animals are exposed to manure they sometimes absorb it.

So everyone should be supplementing B12, even those who eat meat.

  • So to sum it up, yes I take supplements but only because I don’t eat a lot of food nowadays.
  • No matter what diet you follow you should be taking B12 supplements.
  • If you feel like your diet isn’t super balanced then head on over to https://cronometer.com or download their app in the App Store

If you would like to try Complement supplements head on over to https://lovecomplement.com/products/complement-plus-smart-vegan-capsules?variant=14329502302257

For Those Who Don’t Want to Eat “Nuts, Seeds and Grass”

Following a vegan diet doesn’t mean just eating natural foods.

I advocate for a plant-based whole foods diet because it is the healthiest and the cheapest.

But if you don’t want to go vegan because you don’t want to just eat these “healthy foods” then there is still a very good option for you.

There are plenty of meat and dairy alternatives out there.

You can still eat the things you don’t want to give up such as:

  • Burgers
  • Wings
  • Pizza
  • “Chicken”
  • Ice Cream
  • Yogurt
  • Milk
  • Cheese
  • Tacos
  • Bacon
  • Sausage
  • Eggs
  • “Jerky”
  • “Steak”
  • And on and on
  • (*SEE ALL THE PICS BELOW*)

There are alternatives to just about any food you can think of. The best part is it can usually be made from real food and it isn’t dead animal flesh.

These alternatives will only get better tasting, more nutritious, cheaper, more accessible and more plentiful the more the demand goes up.

Most of these alternatives already exist.

You Are Mostly Vegan Already

A lot of the food you eat is already vegan, believe it or not.

For example; let’s take a burger. Bun, lettuce, onion, mustard, tomato, ketchup, pickles, and side of fries all vegan. The one thing that is not vegan is the patty. So just switch the patty for an alternative that tastes just as good.

So, to bring the demand of these types of vegan food, more people need to eat them and less people need to eat meat.

With the depletion of meat eating; things like obesity, heart disease, high cholesterol, viruses, pandemics, cruelty, etc. will go down.

The earth will also greatly benefit.

How Can I Make the Change?

Just A Few of the Many Alternatives

Pandemic Prevention- Unpopular Opinion

The goal of a virus like this one, is to get it, build an immunity, move on and then change our ways.

Diet and Lifestyle

If you chose a comfortable life and pleasure food over your own life you can’t blame the virus.

Having a poor diet makes you more susceptible to viruses like this one. It was your choice. Your body doesn’t get the nutrients it needs, so your immune system is weakened, and you’re more susceptible to illnesses and less likely to fight them off.

THAT WAS YOUR CHOICE.

And DO NOT blame genetics for your weight or illnesses.

Genetics

People think things like diabetes and obesity and heart disease are genetic. Yes, some traits can be passed down and can ultimately hinder your ability to grow and prosper. But, MOST of the time it is not.

The Reason you have the same ailments as your parents is because you grew up eating the same food.

The food and lifestyle caused you to be obese and acquire these illnesses. It is all a personal choice.

You could easily get rid of these ailments if you ate healthier and exercised more.

It has been proven numerous times that you can reverse these things with a healthier diet.

Diet is everything.

Prevention

This virus is not uncommon; and these viruses will only get worse and worse if we keep up our ways.

Running from the virus and wearing masks and gloves will only make it take longer to run its course.

To stop pandemics like these you just simply need to stop doing the thing that causes them.

The Cause

These deadly viruses are caused by the killing of animals. When you cram millions of animals in small places and have them sit in their feces and blood and then slaughter them and eat them; you are bound to have a virus.

If we keep up our ways, and the demand for meat gets higher and higher these viruses will only get more plentiful and more lethal.

What to Do

If you are this scared of death then you should change your lifestyle. Simple as that.

If you stopped eating so much animals these viruses wouldn’t start.

If you stopped eating animals and junk food you wouldn’t be sick and unhealthy in the first place and be susceptible to viruses like this one. Your immune system would be much healthier and able to fight off viruses like this.

If you don’t want to die, be healthier. Eat more natural foods, exercise more, and stop watching the news.

The Actual Solution

We are not fixing anything by hiding inside of our house. These viruses still exist. You can’t just run from things forever.

To stop and prevent these things we need to stop the consumption of dead animal flesh.

We need to be healthier and more active. We need more nutritious diets.

It is Common Sense. If you don’t eat dead animal flesh there won’t be a virus to begin with. If you are healthy, you won’t have to worry about dying from a virus.

Wake up people.

The Truth

We are being lied to and I can guarantee that.

This virus has a 99% survival rate and that is if you even get it.

Yes, it would be smart for people with weakened immune systems and breathing problems to take precautions.

But implementing a worldwide quarantine is a bit extreme for a virus of this level. I can guarantee something bigger will come along soon enough and this will all be forgotten.

We should not believe everything on the media. We should not be running and hiding from this virus and once it subsides go right back to “normal” life.

The Wake Up Call

This virus is simply a wake up call. We need to learn from this and change our ways. Nothing will get better if we just run and hide and wait for one person to find a cure.

We all have the ability to fix the problem if we fix ourselves. We need to become more educated on our diet and on the consequences involved with our actions.

Everyone is just scared right now. But I can see the bigger picture and I can guarantee this will blow over and some other problem will become prevalent. But just because the Coronavirus goes away does not mean we should go back to our old ways.

We all need to be healthier and we need to be educated on the consequences of our actions.

The Greatest Tip on Becoming the Best Version of Yourself

I have read so many self-help books, watched so many videos and have done so much research. But there is one quote that has changed my life for the better.

The easiest way to improve your life and become the best version of yourself is to constantly ask yourself; “will this help create the life I want to live?”

  • Will eating this junk food help create the life I want to live?
  • Will binge-watching another show help create the life I want to live?
  • Will getting drunk tonight help create the life I want to live?

We are all striving to be better. Whether you want to make more money, lose weight, be healthier, be successful; whatever it is, if you ask yourself this question throughout the day you will start making the choices that will improve your life immensely.

Deciding if you should eat that extra piece of pizza or not; ask yourself-“will this help create the life I want to live?”

Should you watch another episode of the show…or go workout or do something productive.

Stop chasing the short-term pleasures that make you feel worse in the long run. Take control of your life. Create the life you have always dreamed of.

And remember; whenever you are making a choice ask yourself the question.

-Write down things that make you happy.

9) Refrain from Drinking Alcohol

-There are so many negative effects of alcohol; I’m not even going to bother listing them all because it’s pretty obvious.

-I think one of the worst ones is it promotes bad behavior and bad eating habits. You give no fucks when you’re drunk and this has very negative long term effects on you.

-You wake up the next day feeling like shit. So now you’ve wasted two days instead of one. You created a habit of bad behaviors and you’re unhappy so to escape the unhappiness you get drunk again and blame your faults on the alcohol.

10) Spend Less time on Social Media

-Social media is very toxic unless you use it in the right way which most people do not.

Social media is full of fake people living fake lives. It is terrible for your self-esteem. Stop scrolling and comparing your life to others.

Instead, go do something more useful with your time rather than scrolling mindlessly and feeling bad about your life.

11) Stop watching the News

-The news is full of negativity and is used to indict fear. Once they make you fearful they lower your vibration and control you. You will never get anything useful from the news. Most of it is bullshit.

-If you just focus on yourself and work on improving your life, none of that shit in the news matters. Worry about your own life and your own happiness.
